I haven’t made this since I was diagnosed, but it’s Christmas and the sons are here.
We’ve been making this since I bought our first microwave – another one of those long time ago happenings.
1 lb. box confectioner’s sugar
½ cup cocoa
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
½ cup butter
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Stir together sugar, cocoa, salt, milk and vanilla extract until blended. Top with butter. Microwave at high for 2 minutes. Stir smooth. Blend in nuts.
Pour into wax paper lined 8 inch square dish.
*I usually sift the sugar, cocoa and salt. I use a mixer to blend after the butter is melted.
