Fenway Park

Fenway Park is NOT like other ball parks – what a neat, cool, awesome experience. The Red Sox lost today but – it was still unlike any other ball game I’ve been to. It was baseball the old fashioned way – fans cheering, singing and showing enthusiasm.

It was our youngest’s 30th birthday and his older brother went above and beyond to make it special. And it was…

It was truly an incredible, fun day!!

  1. We are getting a new outdoor stadium in a year or two. I'd love to have the concession on hats, sunscreen and umbrellas.
The radio station at my bedside broadcasts all the Twins games so I usually go to sleep listening, and then if it gets exciting, wait until the game's over. Gets sort of late when they're on the west coast. But it's so much fun to have something like baseball to be passionate about. And a lesson in humility to remain loyal even when the team's not doing so hot.
One time a few years ago, when my mom was with us at a game, we jokingly told her that if she didn't participate in the wave, a security person would come down and make her pay a $20 fine. Each time it came around she got really nervous and would throw up her hands about 10 people ahead of time. My nephews were rolling on the floor in laughter.

  2. How fun! Every year we say we're going to a Cubs game at Wrigley, and we never make it. But I have gone to a couple of Sox game (shhh… don't tell the Cubs fans) and had great fun in the sun.
